Science of the Sacraments

Course Description

It is important to understand just what occurs when certain sacraments and liturgies are offered, for much more activity occurs on intangible levels than on the visible level. It is also important to understand why certain sacraments and rites were instigated and how ancient symbols have been brought forward while still retaining their mystical significance. In reading the text required for this course, the seminarian must remember that it was written through a consciousness which relevant to its time frame, thus in reading it, one must translate the astral interpretation to the mystical, retaining the essence of truth, but reforming it into today's capability of awareness.

Requirements:

A five to seven page critical analysis of the text indicating the student's ability to apply the understanding contained therein to his or her present awareness and also suggesting ways in which the text could be reformed to be more appropriate to this time-frame.
